Social Economy accelerated through Social Entrepreneurship

Social Entrepreneurs, mainly women, in the Cauca and Valle del Cauca - developed with the support of Eos Entrepreneur Foundation over the past few years - manage today post harvest centers for high quality cacao. The leaders of the centers are promoting together with the smallholder farmers in their region sustainable agroforest cacao production, good agricultural practices in the field and excellent post harvest processes, i.e., fermentation and drying of the cacao beans.

The associated women groups in the region benefit from this development but are also a key enabler in the community development.
